The American Ambassador Herro Mustafa and the Bulgarian prime minister Boyko Borisov had an important meeting!

At the meeting they discussed the efforts of Bulgaria and the USA in the fight against COVID-19. In the course of the conversation they also discussed the initiatives supported by the American Embassy with the aim to help our country during the state of emergency. Herro Mustafa met Boyko Borisov to discuss important points about the fight against the coronavirus! “The present situation requires us to be united, to act jointly and to help each other. In this way we will be able to limit the spread of COVID-19, to protect the residents at risk and to treat more people infected by the new virus,” noted Borisov. “The USA and Bulgaria stand side by side, as recently stated by the Secretary of State, Pompeo. Our strategic partnership will continue unabated. We are stronger together,” said Mustafa. During the meeting prime minister Borisov and Ambassador Mustafa kept the required social distance and complied with the safety requirements as a part of their commitment to support the effective measures taken by the government in order to limit the rate of spread of the disease in Bulgaria. Borisov and Mustafa reiterated that the democracies will overcome this period of uncertainty and will come out of it even stronger. They also continued the discussions on the Strategic Partnership between the USA and Bulgaria, including the improvement of the joint security and cooperation in the field of defense, and the strengthening of the economic and energy ties, writes BLITS.
